Meeta Shah

“We shape our buildings; thereafter they shape us”, this quote by Winston Churchill has motivated Meeta Shah towards the field of architecture. She is a licensed Architect and is registered with the Nevada State Board of Architecture, Interior Design and Residential Design (NSBAIDRD), and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). She has a passion for design, construction and management, and believes that the beauty of design lies in details. According to her, a well detailed project is a successful project! She understands what it takes to develop a project from a blank sheet of paper to build an environment constructed to shape your life. Architecture is a collaboration of art and science and that is what resulted in a desire to pursue it as a career.

Meeta Shah is a Design Project Manager for MGM Resorts International. Ms. Shah is one of the lead Design Project Managers overseeing capital expenditure projects at Aria, MGM Grand Las Vegas and Mirage. Ms. Shah is a creative problem solver, leader, and motivator. She manages all new design projects from its conception to completion. Her role is to act as a liaison between the property Presidents, CFOs, Vice Presidents and Directors of various departments along with design, construction and procurement teams. Ms. Shah is responsible to collaborate with the designers, estimators, contractors as well as venue operators and property management teams to ensure that the design process evolves as per desired brand, within budget and schedule.

Prior to joining MGM Resorts International, Meeta Shah worked as a Project Architect with various architectural firms in Las Vegas and Salt Lake City, Utah. She has a wide gamut of private and public owner projects from single family residences to commercial tenant improvements, high rise hospitality projects, healthcare facilities, Metro substations and K-12 educational facilities over her progressive career of 15 years.

Meeta Shah graduated with Bachelors in Architecture from L.S. Raheja School of Architecture in Mumbai, India with her thesis in urban planning as well as sustainable environment. She was the Social Media Representative for the MGM Resorts Working Mother Network group (WMNG) for 2014. She is also Cultural Secretary for the Gujarati Samaj of Las Vegas, organization for the western state of Gujarat, India, where she strives to promote and keep the culture alive and to pass it to the next generation.
